The Australian Government is investing up to $4 million to expand Malangenna Children’s Centre in Devonport, giving more local families access to early childhood education and care (ECEC).

The funding will support Devonport Child Care Centres Inc to create a modern, fit-for-purpose early learning environment.
The expanded centre will:
- provide additional ECEC places for children and families
- support local workforce growth.
The funding is being delivered through the $1 billion Building Early Education Fund, which provides capital funding to build or expand ECEC services in areas of need.
