Building early education in the Northern Territory

The Australian and Northern Territory governments are partnering to expand access to early childhood education and care (ECEC) in the territory through the Building Early Education Fund.

This marks an important milestone for the Building Fund, with agreements now in place across all states and territories.

The Australian Government will provide nearly $9 million to build a new ECEC service at Manunda Terrace Primary School in Karama.

The project will deliver up to 60 new ECEC places for local families when it opens in 2029.

Funding is delivered through a Federation Funding Agreement schedule with the NT Government.

The $1 billion Building Fund provides capital funding to build new and expand existing ECEC services in areas of need.
