The Child Care Package is helping parents and carers who rely on subsidised child care to work, train, study or volunteer.
We provide information about the package for approved early childhood education and care providers and services. Families who want to get help paying for child care should visit Services Australia.
Child Care Subsidy
Australian families receive help with the cost of child care through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
CCS is paid directly to providers and passed on to families as a fee reduction. Providers must be approved to administer CCS.
Additional Child Care Subsidy
The Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) provides extra help with fees to families facing barriers to early childhood education and care. ACCS will usually cover all of a child’s fees.
Community Child Care Fund
The Community Child Care Fund (CCCF) helps services address barriers to participation. It is targeted to disadvantaged, regional, remote and Indigenous communities.
Inclusion Support Program
The Inclusion Support Program (ISP) helps services care for children with additional needs.
Closing the Gap
The Australian Government is investing in measures to improve the lives of First Nations children through better access to quality early childhood education and care.
Provider obligations
Approved providers must comply with the rules under Family Assistance Law. We regularly check providers are following the law and take compliance action when they’re not.
Help in an emergency
We provide targeted support to providers, services and families in the event of a local emergency. This support is designed to help services recover quickly and ensure continuity of care for families.
