Early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers can get extra help to engage with the worker retention payment.
On this page:
We're extending wage support. On 17 June 2026, the Australian Government announced:
- the worker retention payment will continue until 30 June 2028
- Family Day Care and In Home Care services that engage all educators as employees will be able to join the program
- fee growth caps for new and existing participants
- a new condition linking the program to child safety.
Read our announcement and check back here for more details soon.
We’re funding organisations to help you understand, apply for and meet the conditions of the worker retention payment.
The organisations were selected based on their:
- knowledge of the ECEC sector, and
- understanding of the worker retention payment.
Child-Care Subsidy approved Centre Based Day Care and Outside School Hours Care services can get these support services at no cost. You do not need to be a member to use them.
Workplace instrument templates sold commercially may not meet the worker retention payment requirements. We recommend you get support through the organisations listed on this page.

We will update the directory as further support becomes available. Subscribe to our newsletter and join our Facebook group for updates.
