Its release marks the completion of the national child safety training package for the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector.
Strong child safety depends on more than individual knowledge and practice. It also relies on leadership, governance and organisational culture.
Course 5 is for people in leadership and governance roles. It supports leaders to:
- strengthen child-safe practices
- embed accountability
- create environments where children are safe, feel safe and receive support when concerns arise.
With all 5 courses now available, the national child safety training package supports people across ECEC to:
- build child-safe cultures
- recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns
- support children's safety and wellbeing.
