Today, legislation for the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector passed parliament.

The changes make the legislation clearer, promote transparency, and remove ambiguity.

These include:

  • requiring providers to share information about the cost of delivering ECEC
  • sharing and disclosing information collected under Family Assistance Law (FAL), and
  • technical amendments to remove inconsistencies.
