The Australian and South Australian Governments, and Minderoo Foundation brought together by the Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children (IDAC) are partnering to deliver an integrated early years hub in Davoren Park, South Australia.
The project is supported by the Australian Government through the Building Early Education Fund's $100 million partnership with IDAC, which helps deliver integrated early years hubs that bring together early learning and family support services in one location.
The hub will expand the existing services provided by the Northern Area Community and Youth Services (NACYS), which is part of the Swallowcliffe Children’s Precinct.
The centre will expand to 100 early childhood education and care (ECEC) places, creating 45 additional places for local children and families.
Integrated Hubs bring together preschool, health and wellbeing services, and other tailored supports, helping families and children most at risk to access the help they need in one place.
The existing ECEC service will remain open during construction.
The new hub is expected to open by early 2029, giving more families access to quality ECEC where it is needed most.
The $16.3 million partnership combines:
- $5.5 million from the Australian Government
- $7.8 million from the South Australian Government
- $3.0 million from Minderoo Foundation.
