The Australian Government has offered $106.9 million through round 5 of the Community Child Care Fund sustainability and capital support grant.
The grant supports early childhood education and care services in communities experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability. It helps services remain open, improve financial sustainability and enhance existing facilities.
A total of 419 applications representing 386 services have been successful in securing funding through this round. The funding includes:
- $99.5 million in sustainability support funding to help improve financial viability
- $7.3 million in capital support funding for minor works to improve existing facilities.
Outcome letters have been issued to applicants. General feedback for applicants is available on the Community Grants Hub website.
Successful applicants will soon begin entering into funding agreements.
Funding arrangements are expected to commence from September 2026 and will be supported over 3 years.
