We’ve published data about the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) in the September quarter 2025.
Each quarter we issue a summary report about CCS-approved care in Australia. The report includes data on child care usage, services, fees and subsidies in Australia.
Key findings from the September quarter 2025 include:
- 1,451,860 children from 1,020,930 families used CCS-approved care
- 15,300 CCS-approved services operated during the quarter
- on average, children attended 27.4 hours of care per week
- the average hourly fee was $13.65
- the Australian Government paid $4.02 billion in subsidies.
