Ability Education Pty Ltd [01530K], trading as Ability English, defaulted on Tuesday 27 April 2021 and did not meet its obligations to its international students.

Astley College Australia Pty Ltd [03524C], trading as Astley English College, ceased operating on Friday 12 September 2025. Levi Consulting Pty Ltd has been appointed as the liquidator.

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) activated on Wednesday 17 September 2025 and will be working to assist the international students affected by the closure of Astley English College.

Australasian Lawrence Aged Care College Pty Ltd [02933E], trading as ALACC Health College Australia ceased operating on Wednesday 22 April 2026. Andrew Juza of G S Andrews Advisory has been appointed as the liquidator.

Bruce Hartwig Flying School Pty Ltd [02845E], trading as Hartwig Air, entered voluntary administration on Monday 29 April 2024. Heard Phillips Lieberenz has been appointed as the administrator.

Business Institute of Australia Pty Ltd [02607G], trading as Business Institute of Australia, ceased operating on Monday 11 August 2025.

Lifetime International.Com Pty Ltd [02762G], trading as Cocoon International College, ceased operating on Tuesday 29 July 2025. Deloitte has been appointed as the liquidator.

Shiv Sans Pty Ltd [03223E], trading as Einstein College of Australia, was placed into liquidation and ceased operating on Wednesday 26 November 2025. Worrells has been appointed as the liquidator.

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) activated on Thursday 4 December 2025 and will be working to assist the international students affected by the closure of Einstein College of Australia.

Gills College Australia Pty Ltd [01701G], trading as Sterling Business College, ceased operating on Thursday 17 October 2024. Gills College Australia is working to arrange for all students to be transferred to other suitable education providers with minimal disruption to the students' education.

IH Sydney Training Services Pty Ltd [02623G], trading as International House Sydney, entered voluntary administration on Monday 2 December 2024. PKF Melbourne was appointed as the administrator. International House Sydney ceased operating on Monday 9 December 2024. On Tuesday 7 January 2025, International House Sydney was placed into liquidation and PKF Melbourne was appointed as the liquidator. PKF Melbourne had until Monday 20 January 2025 to meet International House Sydney’s obligations by placing students in an alternative course with another Australian education provider or refunding students’ unspent tuition fees. 

The TPS began assisting those eligible students owed a refund of tuition fees due to visa refusals on Monday 13 January 2025. The TPS began assisting all other students on Tuesday 21 January 2025.

ITHEA Corporation Pty Ltd [02892J], trading as Institute of Tertiary and Higher Education Australia, was placed into liquidation and ceased operating on Tuesday 6 January 2026. Dye & Co. Pty Ltd has been appointed as the liquidator.

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) activated on Friday 16 January 2026 and will be working to assist the international students affected by the closure of ITHEA.

International College of Tasmania Pty Ltd [03683K], trading as TasCollege, ceased delivering courses to students and was placed into liquidation on Friday 8 May 2026. Magnetic Insolvency has been appointed as the liquidator.

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) began assisting the students affected by the default of TasCollege on Wednesday 29 April 2026.

JP International College Pty Limited [03190J] entered liquidation on Tuesday 23 July 2024. Cathro & Partners Pty Ltd has been appointed as the liquidator.
