If you have trouble accessing this document, please contact us to request a copy in a format you can use.

This report explores how to better support people in regional and remote areas to enrol in and complete early childhood education and care (ECEC) qualifications.

It is based on a survey of 150 people. Key challenges identified include:

  • financial support
  • communication and face-to-face learning opportunities
  • culturally appropriate content tailored to local community needs.

The report was prepared by Scyne Advisory in consultation with ECEC stakeholders. It was commissioned under action FA2–1 of the National Children’s Education and Care Workforce Strategy

The publication of this report does not indicate government acceptance of any recommendations. The recommendations will be considered by governments.
