Initial Teacher Education Quality Assurance Oversight Board 2024-25 Annual Report
The Initial Teacher Education Quality Assurance Oversight Board’s 2024-25 Annual Report outlines achievements in the first 12 months since the Board was established, in a national effort to enhance the quality, consistency and outcomes of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs across Australia. There have been four key projects which the Board has focussed on to deliver on the Board’s 2024-25 Strategic Workplan:
- Verifying and Monitoring Core Content Implementation
- Undertaking Cross-Institutional Moderation of Teaching Performance Assessments
- Reporting on Nationally Consistent ITE Indicators
- Supporting Streamlining of Reporting Requirements for ITE Providers

ITE Oversight Board meeting - April 2025
Members continued to discuss the Board’s work overseeing the quality, consistency and outcomes of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs.
Commissioned Research
In addition to research completed by the Panel's secretariat, the Panel commissioned further research to inform its final report.
The Panel engaged the Australian Education Research Organisation, dandolopartners pty ltd, the Australian Catholic University Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education, the Behavioural Economics Team of the Australian Government, and The Social Research Centre to conduct eight research pieces.
