In April 2021, the Australian Government commissioned the Quality Initial Teacher Education Review.
The Expert Panel opened the consultation phase of the Review with the release of the discussion paper calling for public submissions.

The Panel opened the consultation phase of their review with the release of a discussion paper on 23 March 2023 calling for public submissions. People and organisations were able to make submissions until 21 April 2023.
