The Better and Fairer Schools Agreement - Full and Fair Funding 2025-2034 is an agreement between the Commonwealth, states and territories to help create a better and fairer education system for all students. The Commonwealth will increase its contribution to 25 per cent of the Schooling Resource Standard to put government schools on a pathway to 100 per cent of funding.

Heads of Agreement (Interim School Funding Agreement 2025)

The Interim School Funding Agreement 2025 (Interim Agreement) was an interim agreement which was intended to operate for the period 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.  As of 24 March 2025, all jurisdictions that were party to the Interim Agreement are party to the Better and Fairer Schools Agreement – Full and Fair Funding (2025-2034). As such, the Interim Agreement is no longer in operation.

Choice and Affordability 2022 Annual Report

The Department is required each year to publish an Annual Report under paragraphs 50-54 of the Choice and Affordability Fund (CAF) Guidelines (the CAF Annual Report). The CAF Annual Report summarises the general operations, progress of activities and expenditure, reported in the individual CAF Annual Reports submitted by the 16 Non-Government Representative Bodies (NGRBs) receiving financial assistance under the Australian Education Act 2013.
