Priority Area 4, Action 24: Elevating the profession

The Order of Australia recognises educators whose influence extends well beyond the classroom and into the heart of their communities. These awards celebrate educators who go above and beyond in their work and make a lasting impact on students, families and colleagues.

One such recipient is school principal Ann Caro OAM, who was recognised for her outstanding service to education. Ann's leadership and commitment exemplify the professionalism and dedication of Australia's teaching workforce.

We spoke with Ann about what receiving the Order of Australia Award means to her.
