Grants

The Department of Education may offer grants to organisations or individuals, to support the Australian Government’s policies and programs.

The Commonwealth Grants Rules and Guidelines (CGRGs) establishes the overarching Commonwealth grants policy framework and articulated the expectation of all non-corporate Commonwealth entities in relation to grants administration. The CGRGs are supported by the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rules 2014 (PGPA Rules). The Department's grant administration operates in line with the whole of government grants policy framework. The department awards grants in line with the Commonwealth grants policy framework.

We have introduced a new process for reviewing information materials developed through grant agreements. Information materials in scope include, but are not limited to:

  • videos
  • podcasts
  • fact sheets
  • publications
  • educational resources
  • multi-media materials for online platforms, including websites.
