Completion rates of higher education students: Cohort analysis, 2005-2014

This is the third release of the Department’s annual completion rate publication and includes data from 2005 to 2014. The report includes:

a cohort study of completion rates for domestic bachelor students. Domestic bachelor students attending Table A universities were tracked from commencement using student ID (within institution) and Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number, CHESSN (across institutions); completion rates for domestic undergraduate Non-University Higher Education Institution (NUHEI) students, published for the first time; completion rates for individual institutions, published for the first time.

2014 & 2015 Research Income and HDR Completions Data

This document consists of data used in the calculation of 2017 research block grant allocations. Please note that Indigenous and non-Indigenous HDR completions are identified separately in this publication for the first time due to changes in research block grant allocation methodology. In addition, research publications data (no longer collected) and RTS load data (collected but not published) are no longer used in the calculation of research block grant allocations.

2015 Appendix 1 – Open Universities Australia

Higher education student enrolment and EFTSL (Equivalent Full-time Student Load) tables for the 2015 full year offered through Open Universities Australia (OUA). Units of study from a higher education course offered by OUA can be counted as credit towards a higher education institution degree.

2015 Appendix 2 – Equity groups

Higher education equity groups tables for the 2015 full year. Equity groups include students that:

are from non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB); have a disability; are women in non-traditional areas; identify as indigenous; are from low SES (socioeconomic status) locations based on postcode of permanent home residence; and are from regional and remote locations based on postcode of permanent home residence.

2015 Appendix 3 – Academic organisational units

Higher education academic organisational unit tables for the 2015 full year. An academic organisational unit group provides a means for standardising academic organisational units across institutions. Academic organisational units are assigned to an academic organisational unit group on the basis of disciplines for which each academic organisational unit has a teaching and/or research responsibility.
