The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) has commenced the 2026 International TPS Levy collection process for CRICOS providers registered as at 1 January 2026.
Timeline for the 2026 International TPS Levy Collection
- 3 February 2026: Early advice notice and Request for Information (RFI) sent to non-exempt providers
- 3 March 2026: RFI is due
- 10 March 2026: 2026 International TPS Levy invoice sent to providers
- 10 April 2026: Payment of the 2026 International TPS Levy is due
The 2026 International TPS Levy is calculated as prescribed under the Education Services for Overseas Students (TPS Levies) Act 2012. Levy amounts are in line with Education Services for Overseas Students (TPS Levies) (Risk Rated Premium and Special Tuition Protection Components) Instrument 2025 and the indexed administrative and base fee components.

What data is used to calculate a provider’s 2026 International TPS Levy?
The TPS uses provider data and student enrolment data in PRISMS to calculate the 2026 International TPS Levy. Specifically, the TPS uses:
- international enrolment data from the 2025 calendar year (from PRISMS)
- domestic enrolment data and international income collected through the RFI from
non-exempt providers
I didn’t receive any notice. Who was my levy sent to/how do I update contact details?
All levy notices and invoices are sent to PEO and eBusiness contacts drawn from PRISMS. The TPS is unable to manage or update this information on behalf of a provider.
For all updates to PEO/CEO contact information, please lodge the changes with your relevant sector regulator. If you are unsure of your regulator, please visit the CRICOS contacts page.
For all other contact changes including e-business contacts, please refer to the PRISMS Provider User Guide. Management of this contact information is the responsibility of each provider.
Updates made to contact details mid-way through the levy collection will not be reflected during this collection. During this time, please monitor existing mailboxes for correspondence.
