The Final Report of the Independent Review of the HELP Debt Reduction Program was tabled in the Australian Parliament in March 2026. Led by Ms Rachel Hunter AO PSM, the Review examined the Program's design, delivery and effectiveness and made nine evidence-informed recommendations to support its ongoing implementation and future development.
The Australian Government has carefully considered the Review's findings and recommendations. The Australian Government Response to the Independent Review of the HELP Debt Reduction Program was tabled in the Australian Parliament on 13 August 2026 and outlines the Government's position on each recommendation.
