The National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) is an Australian Government investment in the essential research infrastructure that underpins discovery, innovation and national capability.
NCRIS is the quiet achiever, working behind the scenes giving Australian researchers, businesses and governments access to world-class facilities and the infrastructure, tools and specialised technical staff needed to solve the challenges facing the nation.
Infrastructure which delivers benefits to all Australians, and without which ground-breaking work in climate and environment; medicine; food security; astronomy; quantum physics and more could not happen.
As part of the NCRIS 20th anniversary celebrations held around the country on 30 June, NCRIS architect and independent director Anne-Marie Lansdown delivered this message, highlighting the unique nature of NCRIS and its importance to Australia.
