Under the Higher Education Support Act 2003, a higher education provider must determine a census date for each unit of study.
Under the Higher Education Support (Administration) Guidelines 2022, a census date “must not be a date that falls less than 20 per cent of the time between the unit commencement and completion dates.”
This calculator is a useful tool that will assist higher education providers approved or seeking approval under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 to set appropriate census dates.
