Welcome to the EFS
To ensure a smooth transition and timely access to your January 2026 payment advice and February 2026 address collection, please follow these steps:
- Set Up myID
- If you don’t have a myID, get one set up.
- If you already have myID, check your identity strength is at least ‘Standard’ (we recommend ‘Strong’).
- Link Your Organisation in RAM
- The principal authority must link your organisation’s ABN in RAM and assign users to act on behalf of the organisation.
- Accept Your RAM Invitation
- Once your organisations principal authority has assigned you to act on behalf of the organisation you’ll receive an email from RAM.
- Follow the steps to link your myID to your organisation.
- Access EFS
- Once you have myID and RAM ready, your Organisation Administrator can access the EFS and assign access and roles to others within your organisation.
- When you’ve been given access and assigned a role, you’ll receive an email inviting you to access the EFS.
- Follow the steps in the email and access the EFS using your Digital ID.
Once each of these steps are complete, you’ll be able to access the Education Funding System.
Tip: Don’t wait until address collection opens to get started with EFS.Support materials

A recording of the onboarding webinars “Understanding the change, preparing for EFS” is also available.
For convenience, the webinar recording is split into two parts: an onboarding overview for approved authorities, and step-by-step how-to demonstrations.
Webinar slides are also available for reference.

myID and RAM
myID and RAM are products provided by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Setting up is usually straightforward, but if you encounter issues (e.g., missing identity documents or no principal authority identified against your ABN), please contact the ATO for assistance.
For technical issues relating to Digital ID, myID or RAM, reach out to the relevant service support.
We are here to help you as much as we can, however, technical issues relating to Digital ID, myID and/or RAM need to be directed to the relevant service support.
The Education Funding System is more than just another new platform – it’s part of a whole-of-government shift towards enhanced online services.
