The Australian Government has published the 2025 Annual Report of the Regional Education Commissioner, the Hon Fiona Nash. The report covers the Commissioner’s activities from December 2024 to November 2025.
It provides an update on the current state of regional, rural and remote education in the areas of early childhood education and care, school education and tertiary education. The report highlights successful case studies, details stakeholder consultation and notes progress of measures relevant to regional, rural and remote education. The report includes 29 issues for consideration, and one proposal for consideration for strengthening education outcomes in the regions.
