Better Regulation Working Group

The Better Regulation Working Group will identify practical and quickly implementable opportunities for agencies and providers to streamline regulation.

On 24 February, The Hon Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education, announced the establishment of the Better Regulation Working Group.

Co-chaired by the Department of Education and Universities Australia, the Working Group has been established to identify actions to streamline regulatory processes, reduce duplication, better sequence reporting requirements, and minimise regulatory burden while maintaining the quality, integrity, and public confidence that underpin the sector.

The Working Group will meet monthly from March to December 2026.
