Finding works previously hosted on the LTR
Many of the works hosted on the Learning and Teaching Repository LTR website were funded and published through a series of Department of Education projects running between 1994 and 2018. Most of these department-published works have only been freely accessible through the LTR website.
In recognition of the value that these works may continue to provide to academics, teachers and students in future years, archived versions of all department-published works have been submitted to the National Library of Australia’s free online library database Trove.

History of the LTR
An online repository of learning and teaching material was created by the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2004. The repository was then maintained and expanded by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council from 2008 to 2011 and the Office for Learning and Teaching from 2011 to 2016.
In 2017, the repository officially gained the name the ‘Learning and Teaching Repository’ (LTR) and the LTR website was created to facilitate public access to the research materials hosted or linked on the website. The website was managed by Universities Australia from 2017 to 22 and by the Australian Council for Educational Research from 2023 to 26.
