On Monday 19 October 2026, the Australian Government Office for Youth launched their 2026 consultations to help inform the development of a new Youth Strategy.

The Office for Youth deliver opportunities for young people across Australia to share their views and connect with government on issues and opportunities that impact them.
The new Youth Strategy will build on progress under the current youth engagement strategy Engage! A strategy to include young people in the decisions we make, which outlines the Australian Government’s vision to include young people in the decision-making process.
Through these consultations, the Office for Youth is seeking feedback from young people aged 12–25 in the 2026 National Youth Survey. The youth sector, government agencies and organisations that work with or for young people are invited provide feedback through a discussion paper.
