What support can the department provide if my hub experiences extenuating circumstances/hardship?
- Extenuating circumstances/hardship are circumstances outside of the hub’s control (such as natural disasters) that impact a hub’s ability to continue operations.
- Existing Regional University Study Hubs are able to apply for Special Circumstances Funding to support the continuation of hub operations during extenuating circumstances/hardship. The purpose of this funding is to provide one-off support to hubs severely impacted by extenuating circumstances/hardship to ensure continued operation of the hub and reduce any direct impacts on students.
- Special Circumstances Funding cannot be used to supplement routine operational expenses and can only be used to address the specific short-term operational risks.
- If you believe extenuating circumstances/hardship apply to your situation, contact regional@education.gov.au as soon as possible to discuss what support can be provided and the application process.
