The Education Funding System (EFS) will be delivered incrementally, over 5 releases, between November 2025 and December 2026. Providing transitional architecture that enables legacy systems, such as SchoolsHUB, to incrementally transition to the EFS, while maintaining delivery of accurate and timely payments, based on policy, legislative and program needs.
Release One - November 2025
Approved authorities can:
- access the EFS and sign in using Digital ID
- view payments and submit data collections.
Release Two - March 2026
Approved authorities can:
- set up their accountant's access
- access a funding estimator
- submit updates for their organisation and schools.
Release Three - June 2026
Non-government representative bodies, block grant authorities and higher education providers can:
- access the EFS and sign in using Digital ID.
Block grant authorities can:
- submit key documents and data collections.
Release Four - October 2026
Higher education providers can:
- access payment details
- update organisation details
- submit supporting documents.
Non-government representative bodies can:
- submit key documents and updates.
Release Five - December 2026
Industry partners and others can:
- access the EFS and sign in using Digital ID.
Higher education providers can:
- submit financial and superannuation information.

- manage funding applications.
