The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has officially launched this year’s Tax, Super + You competition - and it’s time for creative students to shine! The competition is open to students in years 7-12 currently enrolled in the Australian education system – including Australian home-schooled students.
What is the Tax, Super + You competition?
It’s a fun, hands-on way for high school students to discover why tax and super matter in everyday life. Students can enter solo or as a team to create an imaginative project all about tax and super.
Creative options? Endless! They can write it, film it, design it, build it, animate it—whatever brings their idea to life. Dream big, create bigger.
Competition entry topics:
- Junior Category (Years 7-9): What are my tax and super responsibilities when I start earning money?
- Senior Category (Years 10-12): How do the ATO app and Online services help Australians manage their tax and super and help protect them from fraud?
What’s in it for your students?
Besides learning valuable life skills, students have the chance to win a share of $12,000 in prizes for themselves and their school. Yes, you read that right — $12,000!
Entries close 5.00pm AEST on 4 September 2026.
