The Australian Government’s Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) program is helping Year 4–12 students deepen their understanding of Australian democracy through on-site learning experiences in Canberra.
PACER provides financial assistance to schools to visit key cultural institutions that deliver programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
To qualify, schools must visit at least three of the four mandatory institutions:
- Australian Parliament House
- Museum of Australian Democracy
- National Electoral Education Centre
- Australian War Memorial
In great news for schools, additional rebates from 2023 have been extended for two additional school calendar years covering 2026 and 2027.
