There has been a change to the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018 (National Code) that temporarily extends the transfer restriction period for overseas students (other than school students) from 6 to 12 months.

This factsheet is intended as a plain language guide for providers of international education and should not be relied upon as legal advice. Where there is doubt, please refer to the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and the National Code.
