Higher Education Gender-based Violence Equity and Response Uplift Projects
An Expression of Interest (EOI) process for grant funding is now open to support projects that strengthen responses to gender-based violence in higher education settings. Projects should embed equity, accessibility and inclusion in system design, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for students disproportionately affected by gender-based violence.
Funding will support practical, equity-centred initiatives that strengthen institutional responses to gender-based violence, support implementation of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence, and contribute to evidence-based approaches that can be shared and applied across the sector to support nationally consistent good practice.
Grants are established under the Higher Education Support Act 2003 and the Higher Education Support (Other Grants) Guidelines 2022 and administered by the Department of Education.
