Services Australia

Services Australia provides financial support and payments for students whilst they study, retrain or complete an apprenticeship. These payments can be for school, vocational and higher education. They also host resources which can support all students.

    Financial help for Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students or apprentices.
  • ABSTUDY Away from Base Assistance - Services Australia
    Help for Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend study activities. Students must be away from their home or study location for a short period.
  • Fares Allowance - Services Australia
    Helps with travel costs between your permanent home and your place of tertiary study in Australia.
  • Tertiary Access Payment - Services Australia
    A payment to help students with the cost of moving from regional or remote areas for tertiary study.
  • Youth Allowance - Services Australia
    Financial help if you’re 24 or younger and a student or Australian Apprentice, or 21 or younger and looking for work.
StudyAssistStudyAssist is an Australian Government website managed by the Department of Education. StudyAssist provides students with information about Government study loans, such as HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, as well as financial and study support.
Good Universities GuideThe Good Universities Guide supports future students to find courses at Australia's universities, TAFEs and training colleges.
National Careers InstituteThe National Careers Institute (NCI) supports Australians with reliable and accurate careers information and resources. They support a number of programs including the Your Career Website, School Leavers Information Kit and VET in Action.
