The Higher Education Gender-based Violence Regulator (GBV Regulator) is committed to supporting providers to understand their requirements under the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence (National Code) and has prepared a range of resources and guidance to support compliance.

Regulatory Guidance
This Regulatory Guidance has been prepared to help higher education providers understand their responsibilities under the National Code and provide examples of actions they can take to satisfy the 7 standards.
It also provides students, staff, gender-based violence advocates and student support service providers with visibility of the expectations under the National Code.
Whole of Organisation Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan and Outcomes Framework
The GBV Regulator has developed guidance, templates and optional worksheets to assist providers to develop a Whole of Organisation Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan and Outcomes Framework in line with the requirements of Standard 1: Accountable leadership and governance.
Optional Preparation Worksheets
Providers may choose to develop a Plan and Outcomes Framework in their own format or use the optional templates and worksheets outlined above, provided they meet the requirements set out in Standard 1: Accountable leadership and government, of the National Code.
All providers must complete and submit the endorsement template.
