Child Care Subsidy

Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps families with the costs of child care. Families must meet eligibility criteria to get CCS. The amount of CCS a family can get depends on their circumstances.
3 Day Guarantee
|
On 5 January 2026, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) activity test was replaced. All CCS eligible families can now get 3 days of subsidised child care per week. These changes are known as the 3 Day Guarantee.
3 Day Guarantee is now in effect

From today, all CCS eligible families can get at least 72 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. These changes are known as the 3 Day Guarantee.

Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) temporary financial hardship gives families experiencing significant financial stress extra help with the cost of child care. It is a short-term payment.
