How to manage session reports
Child care providers must submit accurate session reports on time – it’s the law. Services Australia uses session reports to calculate and process Child Care Subsidy (CCS) payments.
Statements of entitlement
Providers must issue a statement of entitlement to families who get Child Care Subsidy (CCS) at their service.
What records you need to keep
Under Family Assistance Law (FAL), early childhood education and care providers must keep certain records. This page outlines record keeping requirements and timeframes.
Charging fees
Watch this video to ensure you submit accurate and complete session reports, including the correct fee, for each session of care.
Privacy
The department's privacy policy embodies our commitment to protecting the personal information we hold.
Manage prescribed discounts
You do not need to adjust the total session fee before reporting prescribed discounts. This is because prescribed discounts do not impact Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlement.
Manage other third-party payments and discounts
You must deduct the contribution from the total session fee when managing other third-party payments and discounts. The family’s CCS percentage will then be applied to the reduced session fee.
Managing third-party payments and discounts
Families who receive Child Care Subsidy (CCS) must make a co-contribution to their early childhood education and care (ECEC) fees. They do this by paying the gap fee.
