The Government’s new $24.8 million Women in STEM Program is now open for applications.
Higher education providers can apply for program places, which will allow up to 500 women to study an industry-supported higher education Diploma or Advanced Diploma in STEM while working in paid employment.
Courses will be delivered by higher education providers to women who are currently employed and looking to upskill or build a career in STEM. Providers will receive grant funding to deliver eligible STEM programs, and support of up to $5,000 a year per employee will be available to participating employers.
The Women in STEM Program was announced in the 2020-21 Budget as part of the Government’s second Women’s Economic Security Statement.
Higher education providers can go to Women in STEM Cadetships and Advanced Apprenticeships to apply for places. Employers interested in participating in the program should contact their higher education provider.
