VET Student Loans

VET Student Loans commenced on 1 January 2017, replacing the VET FEE-HELP scheme. The VET Student Loans program offers greater protection for students and focuses on courses that address industry needs, creating better opportunities for employment. VET Student Loans offers income contingent loan support to eligible students studying certain diploma level and above vocational education and training qualifications. Eligible students are entitled for loans up to a capped amount.

To access a VET Student Loan, a student must be enrolled at a VET Student Loans approved training provider that is approved to offer the VET Student Loans approved course.

A list of current VET Student Loans approved courses and maximum loan amounts is available in the VET Student Loans (Courses and Loan Caps) Determination 2016.

A list of currently approved VET Student Loans providers is available at VET Student Loans Approved Course Providers. Providers who were once approved to offer VET Student Loans but are no longer approved can be found in the Providers no longer approved to offer VET Student Loans list.
