Skilling Australians Fund projects

Of the six states and territories to sign the NPSAF before the 30 September 2018 deadline South Australia and the Northern Territory have committed to specific projects that will meet the needs of industry and increase the number of apprentices and trainees.

The NPSAF is a project based agreement and states and territories have committed to specific projects to meet the needs of industry and increase the number of apprentices and trainees.

On 7 September 2018 the Australian and South Australian Governments agreed to almost $203 million in investment over the next four years under the NPSAF. This is expected to create almost 20,000 new apprenticeships and traineeships in South Australia.

The Australian Government and the Northern Territory government agreed to a new funding deal on 16 October 2018. The joint funding of $5.8 million is for the first year of the NPSAF and will lead to around 2,000 new training and apprentice opportunities to be created in the Northern Territory over the next four years.
