Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment Toolkits

For:

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) acknowledges a person's knowledge and skill no matter where they learned it. This can then be counted towards a qualification; this means a person doesn't have to study something they already know.

The RPL Assessment Toolkits have been developed to make the assessment of RPL simpler for people studying early childhood qualifications.

Each RPL Assessment Toolkit includes five key components:

  • Assessor Guide
  • Candidate Guide
  • Workplace Guide
  • Forms and Templates
  • Unit Mapping.

Forms, templates and assessment tools are also included. These are used to look at all of a person's experience to work out what can be counted towards the relevant qualification.

RPL Assessment Toolkits are available for the current qualifications:

  • Child Care Certificate III (CHC30113)
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50113)
