Expressions of Interest to participate in the Australian Government’s Early Learning Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Australia (ELSA) pilot are now open.
$6 million in Australian Government funding is being provided for the ELSA pilot, which is a key component of the National Innovation and Science Agenda’s Inspiring all Australians in digital literacy and STEM measure, and forms one part of a trio of early learning initiatives provided under this Agenda.
Four of the ELSA ground-breaking apps will cater for early learners in preschool services, with a separate app to assist early learning educators and one for families, so that STEM learning can continue in the home setting.
The Expressions of Interest process will be open between 5 March and 10 April 2017, with the pilot to be completed by a minimum of 100 preschool services the following year.
