Discussion paper released on reform to the Education Services for Overseas Students framework

Wednesday 1 October 2014

A discussion paper ‘Reform of the ESOS framework’ has been released to seek views from interested stakeholders on opportunities to improve the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and associated legislative arrangements.

The discussion paper outlines proposals to make ESOS more contemporary, flexible and effective.

The reform of ESOS will address a key Government objective—to reduce unnecessary red tape.

Education institutions, training organisations, peak bodies and agencies are invited to make written submissions by 31 October 2014.
