Australian Government funding to help Queensland public schools become more autonomous

The Minister for Education, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP and the Queensland Minister for Education, Training and Employment, the Hon John-Paul Langbroek MP have announced that Queensland schools will soon benefit from increased local autonomy through funding from the Australian Government’s $70 million Independent Public Schools initiative.

Australian Government funding of $12.88 million will expand Queensland’s Independent Public Schools initiative and provide professional development to support school leaders to effectively manage more autonomous schools.
