The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector. The authority regulates courses and training providers to ensure nationally approved quality standards are met.

National Centre for Vocational Education Research

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research is a not-for-profit company responsible for vocational education and training. Find information on the centre’s national collecting, managing, analysing, evaluating and research work on vocational education and training on the NCVER website.


The Training website is the official National Register on VET in Australia and is the authoritative source of information on training packages, qualifications and accredited courses, units of competency, skill sets and Registered Training Organisations.

Unique Student Identifier

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a number that will stay with an individual student for life and provides a record of any nationally recognised VET course that is undertaken from 1 January 2015. The USI is available online and at no cost to the student.
