This project aims to connect pre-service teachers with the mathematics and science of daily life in Australian regional communities, Improving their confidence and enhancing their abilities to engage school students in learning. It also aims to develop collaborations between university mathematics and science researchers, school education specialists, and community representatives to drive renewed pre-service mathematics and science education that can be embedded in the university education curriculum.
The project is led from Southern Cross University. Partners include CQUniversity Australia, University of Ballarat, University of New England, University of Southern Queensland, and University of the Sunshine Coast.
