On Wednesday 17 November, the Minister for Education and Youth, the Hon Alan Tudge MP, and the Minister for Home Affairs, the Hon Karen Andrews MP, announced the release of the refreshed Guidelines to counter foreign interference in the Australian university sector.
The Guidelines are a result of the ongoing strong collaboration among universities and the Australian Government, led by the University Foreign Interference Taskforce. Designed to build resilience proportionate to the risk of each university, the Guidelines set out practical steps that universities can take to counter foreign interference and preserve the integrity of our nation’s world-class higher education system.
