The Department of Education's thoughts are with all international students and their families affected by COVID-19.

International students are an important and valued part of Australia’s world class education system. Those impacted by the COVID-19 emergency can contact international.students@dese.gov.au.
International Student Arrivals
International students are an important part of the Australian community, and we are excited to welcome them back to our classrooms, campuses and communities. A range of resources and support can be found on the Study in Australia website, the official Australian Government website for international students.
We continue to welcome international students to Australia, including those travelling from China.
From 12.01am on Thursday 5 January 2023, travellers from China will need to undertake a COVID-19 test within the 48 hours prior to travel and show evidence of a negative test result when travelling to Australia.
This will apply to international students as it does for any travellers from China.
