Child Care Package for providers

The Child Care Package includes the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and the Child Care Safety Net. CCS is paid directly to services.

Emergency and natural disaster assistance is available for affected families and providers.

The Child Care Package is helping parents and carers who want to work or who want to work more, while making early childhood education and care more affordable and accessible.

Services have more flexibility and are able to set their hours of operation based on the needs of their community, with no minimum hour per day or days per week requirements. Services are still required to operate for a minimum of 48 weeks per year (or 7 weeks per year if the service only provides outside school hours care).
