Australian Qualifications Framework Review

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications.

The Australian Government announced a review of the AQF in the 2017-18 budget to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of students, employers, education providers and the wider community.

Terms of Reference

The Minister for Education and Training, and the Council of Australian Governments Education and Industry and Skills Councils, approved the review's terms of reference.

Discussion Paper

The review panel released a discussion paper in December 2018, with three links for further information.

Stakeholder Consultation

In February and March 2019 the review panel held consultation sessions on the discussion paper across Australia. The review Chair gave a presentation at each session and wrote answers to key questions from stakeholders.

Stakeholder Submissions

Stakeholders made 134 written submissions in response to the discussion paper and consultation sessions. Two stakeholders requested their submissions remain confidential.
