    The Australian Scholarships Group is a unique not-for-profit co-operative of parents established in 1974. It provides educational benefits designed to encourage children to gain a complete education. Its programs assist children through the arduous years of secondary education and provide educational grants, scholarship allowances or fee assistance to students who undertake full-time post-secondary or tertiary courses.     The Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC) Scheme helps if a family has a primary, secondary or under 16 year old tertiary student who cannot go to an appropriate government school because of living too far away. An appropriate school is a government school offering the student's level of study or, if the student has special health-related or educational needs, one providing the facilities, programs, and/or environment needed.

    The Barnardos OfficeMax Max e Grants program provides small grants to community groups, schools, kindergartens and long day care centres in Australia who apply on behalf of a disadvantaged child or young person to further their education prospects. This could be assistance with school books or uniforms, school fees or equipment, special tuition or excursions.
