VET research at Charles Sturt University began with major projects on enterprise training and competency-based training in 1994. The group 'Research in Vocational Education & Training' (RIVET), undertakes high-quality applied research, consultancy and professional continuing education relevant to industry, the vocational education and training sector and governments. The group has five core members and is recognised by CSU as a Community of Scholars. Researchers have undertaken projects in conjunction with other university research groups, TAFE Institutes, private and public enterprises, and private consultants.
